I like the closeups in Mr. Neumann's videos, but I think my favorite videos are still those posted to Youtube by "jarrydlovr96" from the NYCB theatre in Westbury, NY. After viewing them, I immediately burned them to DVD. I can watch the DVD and feel like I'm at his concert all over again. All 7 of Greyson's songs are there (2 trimmed a bit) and 3 or 4 of Cody Simpson's. If I run out of things to do, maybe I'll edit my video and insert some of the closeups from Mr. Neumann. www.youtube.com/user/jarrydlovr96If you do that, please email me a copy. Thanks

Just found this guy's You Tube posts from the show at the Historic Synagogue. Best quality I've seen yet. The guy's Channel says he's 70 years old but except for occasional shakiness, probably caused by overexcited fans, this could be a network broadcast. The screaming is there so you get the feel and excitement, but the Lyrics are still clear. Great work for a hand held camera. Close up, great lighting, great sound. Even the "countdown" goes perfect. Wish we had this one last week when we were trying to post lyric vids. Only strange thing is the menorahs in the background and "Unfriend U" is missing. I'm watching this between sentences as I type & all I can say is "Just DAMN, He's GOOD!!!! Being able to see Greyson's theatrical facial expressions on "Heart Like Stone", and smiling expression when the crowd reacts to the start of "Light Up The Dark" is priceless! As you'll hear Greyson say, "Its HOT in here!, Its DAMN Hot in here. (Shame on you, Greyson). I recommend watching these in FULL SCREEN or saving them from You Tube to your computer & later watching in full screen. Almost like being there. Opening: Opening Contd./Heart Like Stone/ Light Up The Dark/Fire: Papparazzi: Empire State of Mind (New York): Waiting Outside The Lines: Everybody needs to go on this guy's Channel & THANK HIM! www.youtube.com/user/MrJohnNeumannPlease add your thoughts below.

OUCH! for Cody. Hope he doesn't see this review, but truthfully, the reviewer is expressing my thoughts very well. Cody, JB, & similar acts don't appeal to me. Not my kind of music. But Greyson is uniquely talented for his age & knows how to ROCK!

Let me say first that I was a bit worried about being the only “older person” at an event full of young people. Then I decided that someone had to drive all the kids there and indeed that was the case. So, if you are older and want to go -- GO! You won’t feel out of place, besides, you don’t want to be “living inside the box -- afraid of taking chances.” It may be that Greyson will be the first young performer since Billy Gilman to appeal to all ages. I’ve actually seen Greyson live 3X now. 2X with Miranda Cosgrove in Milwaukee and Chicago and 1X with Cody Simpson at the Rave (supposedly haunted and the last performance venue for Buddy Holly) in Milwaukee. The Youtube videos really don’t convey the energy and emotions of a live performance. A word of warning, however -- the sound level at the very end of the Rave concert was almost painful. It was almost 15min. before my ears “popped,” and late the next day before my hearing really felt normal again. It may not be like that at all venues of course. Greyson has said that it was his and Cody Simpson’s idea to tour together; and I must say, it worked out very well -- something for everyone. To my surprise, I actually enjoyed Cody’s set too; the kid does have talent. Both performers had about the same amount of time. Greyson sang 1 or 2 more songs (7 total) than Cody, but I think a couple of Cody’s were a little longer. I get a charge out of the way the girls join in with parts of Greyson’s songs. “I’m your biggest fan. I’ll follow you until you love me,” seems to happen automatically at every show. After reading your post I guess I need to go. I've been trying to get my niece & nephew intrested. Gonna show them the live clips of Unfriend U and Heart Like Stone this weekend. But I will be sure to take my earplugs.Check out Paul Stanley (Kiss) appearence on "The Doctors" about hearing loss

I remember seeing a You Tube clip from an evening news program that was positive, but I was struck by the fact that, according to the reporter, the news crew was not allowed to film any segments of the show. IMHO this is a colossal blunder by Greyson's P.R. staff. They even used to show clips from Beatles concerts back in the day. What better way to build Greyson's fan base than having 15 seconds of "Unfriend U" on the local news.
Having said that, Whenever Greyson is in town I think we all should call news department of the local station that carries Ellen and make sure they are aware of the connection and suggest that they cover the concert.

Hey all Greyson Chance fans! My name is Lee. I run the GreysonChanceFans web site and YouTube all by myself. (See links below) Two weeks later, May 29th 2010, I created a YouTube account to support, promote and share everything I could find for of his fans. Since then I have over 250 videos about Greyson either linked or uploaded and almost 800,000 views on those uploads... So in some small way I hope I have made a difference...I think Greyson believes so Hi Lee, I hope you can help me find a particular interview that Greyson did where he mentions that he would like to colaborate with Paul McCartney. I know I saw it on Youtube but I can't find it now. It may have been the uncut version of a shorter interview. Any help would be appreciated. I have a good reason for trying to locate this video. Thanks.

Who is your favorite artist or band of all time? My first "live" concert was "The Beatles" in 1965. Kinda hard to top that. Beatles at Shea Stadium 1965, intro by Ed Sullivan. (Compare screaming girls to a Greyson Chance Concert. Watch the Cop put his hands over his ears as they come out ). But then I saw "America's answer to the British Invasion" Paul Revere & The Raiders & I was hooked for life. With their Revolutionary War uniforms and "Raider Dance steps" they were the coolest thing going on in '65-67 until music changed to more "serious" rock. Judge GTO Commercial/ "Just Like Me" with famous double tracked lead guitar solo by Drake Levin. If you look closely you'll see Drake Levin's double necked guitar & Mark Lindsay's ponytail, long before other "cool" rockers started to wear them. History writes them off because "rock critics" didn't get their performance art, but they were first before Kiss, Alice Cooper, Prince, MJ & Lady GaGa. A few little known facts: Paul Schaffer (David Letterman) calls them "the greatest show band in the history of Rock and Roll". Jimmy Hendrix copied their guitar moves & setting fire to instruments. The Who literally stole & copied one of their songs. Prince and other groups copied their clothes. In 1969, The Raiders opened for The Beach Boys in Europe. But in 1967, The Rolling Stones Opened for Paul Revere & The Raiders! Dick Clark called them the musical Marx Brothers & featured them on two of his TV series, "Where The Action Is" and "Happening". Lead singer Mark Lindsay was the first rocker with a Pony Tail. He made it cool. They are the most televised rock act of all time with over 700 performances. They got written off by later, self appointed "rock critics" as bubblegum but if you took the time to check them out they were really closet rockers. Videos: first anti-drug song "Kicks" from The Milton Berle Show". "Powder Blue Mercedes Queen" from "Rollin on The River" Paul Schaffer's tribute to PR&R on the death of Drake Levin. (the lead guitarist that Jimi Hendrix copied, or should I say, was inspired by. AND NOW, GREYSON CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (compare screams to a Beatle Concert). Thanks to Meredith for teaching me how to imbed videos. (Hope I didn't overdo it).

I'm looking for the interview Greyson did where he states that he would like to collaborate with Paul McCartney. I saw it on You Tube late one night & forgot to bookmark it. Now I can't find it. I hope someone can help me find it. I have a reason other than just wanting to see it again. Thanks everyone.

I hadn't seen the Joes's Pub video in a while so I just went to watch it, and poor Greyson, when he yells "Come on New York!" No body does anything Still an amazing performance, as always I've yet to actually find any recording of him messing up or not sounding great... -Edit, Except however, ironically, in the original posting of Paparazzi. Anyone else ever notice how he forgets the line "eyeliner and cigarettes" And pauses to think, then just says "cigarettes"? I always thought he left out "eyeliner" on purpose. He is a guy singing the song. I just figured that once he became a "professional" singer that it didn't matter 'cos some rockstars wear eyeliner.

Hey everyone, I would have to say, my favorite song is actually Heart of Stone, but it seems he has only performed it for the opening of W4U. But otherwise, Summer Train definetly from the choices given. I think the entire arrangment was done perfectly. Under that, the new recording of Unfriend you. But of course, I love them all -Off topic I little, Has anyone else noticed that with the new studio recordings, Unfriend You and Summer Train, that it seems either Greyson, or the producers like bass, It almost drowns him out at one point. Maybe its my ears or maybe its my computer, but I don't really hear the base. All I hear is that !@#$% orchestration. His band is totally lost in the mix.

You are forgetting RE-POSTS of Greyson's original PAPARAZZI video. I did a You Tube search of "Greyson Chance Paparazzi and these are the totals for the first page alone. Check & you will see that these posts are of the original video.
Greyson97------39,191,213 McMillan355------3,017,742 Newartz----------2,002,061 TOTAL----------44,211,016
That's just on the first page. I saw another on the right side column with over 6,000,000 views but it is 4:15AM and I am too tired to keep verifying vids and adding numbers. But suffice to say that Greyson's Paparazzi vid has over 44 million views. I wouldn't be surprised if someone as O/C as me took the time to total the views of the Original Papparazzi Video from all the channels where it has been posted it would total over 50 million views. Greyson97's channel has a combined total upload views of 64,277,847 for all his posted vids. Most impressive. Happy Anniversary Greyson.

I hate being tech challenged. I want to respond to individual posts but I guess they are all linked together.
RE: Unfriend You (Studio Version)
1. Too much studio, not enough of Greyson's Band. The famous guitar licks near the end are almost gone.
2. Is my hearing messed up or does Greyson need to go back before the master is finished and enunciate "...so I WILL unfriend you? It sounds like he is saying IML. Even some of the lyric posters on you tube have it as IMA. I don't understand this because he has no problem singing the song live and the rest of the recording his voice is crystal clear. What's up with IMLL? Or is something wrong with my hearing?
