I don't have the CD, but here is another song I like. I told you that I can find enjoyable music in all Genres. This happens to be a country song by American Idol Winner Carrie Underwood. The chorus always makes me cry. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lydBPm2KRaU&ob=av2n

At the prices they are charging, I'm betting that the issue is ticket sales. The show was definitely moved, you can no longer buy tickets for the other venue. I noticed that ticket sales slowed substantially after the initial surge. The “choose your seat” feature is up on the ticket site for the new venue, and there still appears to be about 400 seats available out of 1600 total. I’m not so sure ticket prices are the issue given the fact that Singapore is one of the wealthiest countries (city-state) in the world. It’s GDP PPP per capita income is the third highest in the world. For comparison, the U.S. is 7th -- a little over $10,000/year less. In fact, if we are to believe Wikipedia, 15.5% of the population of Singapore are millionaires. Compare that to Indonesia whose GDP PPP per capita income is 119th on the list. For the Jakarta show there are only 20 - $125.00US VIP seats left out of 910. The 910 seats in the $94.00 section are sold out, as are the 910 seats in the $56.00 section. Given the fact that the sections in front of and behind the $75.00 section are sold out, one would assume that that 910 seat section would be getting close to selling out also. One can’t really gauge what’s happening in the larger $44.00 section in the back. It appears they have sold or will have sold at least 3,500 tickets. Three thoughts come to mind that would affect ticket sales. One, a smaller fanbase in Singapore. Two, a poor job of promoting the event on part of the show sponsors/promoters. Three, I read several comments on Greyson’s Facebook page (when you could still write comments) where fans said that their parents wouldn’t let them go on a school night. But hey, a show for 1200-1300 fans -- I’m sure Greyson would be delighted to draw that size crowd for his US tour. Now that I think about it, lucky fans -- a more up close and personal concert! I have a feeling that his Malaysia and Philippine shows will do quite well as he was so heavily promoted there on his first trip. All very good points.

Interesting, maybe a double booking, or perhaps they weren't generated enough ticket sales to warrant the SIS. At the prices they are charging, I'm betting that the issue is ticket sales.

Yeah, I don't know much about them, but it looks like this generation of teenagers is into the boy bands like my generation was. There really haven't been any prominent ones that I can think of since the late 1990s and early 2000s with the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, 98 Degrees, etc. Seems like they are making a comeback right now though. Of course, the standard boy band formula goes back decades and One Direction, Big Time Rush and all of those are just the lucky ones cashing in at the moment. I do think it is ridiculous how some fans think that they can only be devoted to one band/artist and have to choose and then there is all this rivalry between fans and whatnot. Kind of funny to me. Greyson has his fair share of fans for sure, but if he wants the whole teen idol status with the hoards of girls everywhere he goes, he is just going to have to wait. For the most part, you aren't going to have 15, 16, 17 year old girls "falling in love" with a 14 year old. I know at that age those one or two years makes a huge difference and Greyson only being 14 just keeps a lot of people from taking him seriously. The kid has so much talent though, he'll have a long and lucrative career in music if that is what he wants. As for One Direction, I appreciate that they are at least somewhat talented compared to what I've seen from a couple of the other boy bands. I went through my phase though, so I think I'll just stick with the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC. IMHO Greyson has the best of both worlds right now. Like Jimmy Osmond before him (about 99% of the forum members are asking "who?" , Greyson has hoards of girls following him all over Asia. But when he comes back to the States, he has some measure of peace. As Greyson gets older, he WILL become more popular here and, IMHO, he WILL be the next Paul McCartney. I've already seen his popularity growing in South America, especially in Argentina, partly due to the contests we are sponsoring there, but mostly due to the fine work of the GCA board. As Greyson grows, both chronologically and artistically, his fame is certain to grow as well.

Oh my gosh that's so exciting!! I hope it's him. I wonder if that's what he meant by his tweet: "I am getting ready for some shows here soon! Just started rehearsing today. Good to be back..." I guess we'll just have to wait and see! It would make sense that after touring Asia in April, that he would begin a US Spring/Summer Tour in May.
