SSIA (Subject Says It All)
1. First of all, thank you to everybody for joining up and participating (or for just lurking if that's your thing). I think this has been a successful venture so far. We don't have too many members yet, but hopefully more people will join in the discussions as the time goes on.
2. Please spread the news about the forum. I have been lacking a bit in my promotional duties thus far, but once exams are over I should be able to be a little more pestering of other fans to join up. The more people that are involved, the more interesting and informative the discussions can be.
3. Sorry for the almost daily changes to the layout of the board. Of course, the layout does nothing to change the content of the board, but I assume it is annoying. Both djtiny and I have been screwing w/ it and experimenting w/ it so that's why it keeps changing. Hopefully sometime soon we will settle on something and leave it that way.
4. Want to publicly thank djtiny for his help in the formatting of the board. I can manage with the small stuff, but he has been a big help with a lot of the more complicated stuff. He also has full admin powers so if you have a complaint/suggestion about the layout of the board you can ask me or him.
5. All complaints about the content of the board (what people are posting, etc.) should come to me. I feel like it is "my neck on the line" so to speak so if we ever end up with "problem people" then I want to be the one to address it.
6. I am finished setting up the MP3 Index, however, I hope to continue to add to it. So, if you come across any performance you'd like included please post them to the "requests" thread or just send me a message.
7. I have finished the 2010 setlists page. I added pictures last night b/c I thought it was rather bland looking. Probably should have made them smaller and am going to on the 2011 thread, but I am too lazy to go back and change that entire 2010 thread b/c it took forever to put them up. Please let me know if you notice any errors in content, or even just typos. Also, some of the information is unknown or I am not sure of it, so let me know if you do know the answer.
8. That goes for everything "informational" on the board. If there are errors in content, definitely let me know, but even if the errors are just typos feel free to point it out to me. I am kind of a perfectionist so I'd rather it be right even if I have to fix it a million times.
9. I will keep up-to-date on the 2011 setlists and I will slowly but surely fill in the first few months of the tour as I find the free time.
10. As of right now, you see everything that I plan on adding to the board as far as informative sections go (even though they aren't all finished). Is there anything else that people would find interesting or helpful that I can tackle at some point in the future?
11. Right now I have the board set up so that only members can post, but that everybody can read it. I must admit I get a kick out of seeing the membership numbers rise, but unless somebody points out a reason, I can't think of one for not allowing the content to be freely accessible to everybody who visits the site.
12. One new feature of the board that djtiny is responsible for is that now the icon w/ Greyson's picture at the top of the board is "clickable" and it takes you back to the homepage. Djtiny was the genius who figured out how to do it. I take full credit for the idea to do it though... lol.
13. Please make sure that you go into "profile" and "modify profile" and make sure that any information you don't want to be public is "hidden" from view (i.e. email address). If you can't figure out how to do this then just respond to this thread and I'll be more detailed.
14. Do people have a problem with the "Info Center" at the bottom of the page being visible? I think that I can hide it from view. I don't really have an opinion one way or the other so I'll take y'all's input on that issue.
That is all I can think of right now. Sorry for the randomness of this, but like I said before, I am new to all of this so I really do appreciate any input/suggestions/critiques that people might have. Feel free to respond to this thread or just send me a message. I check my messages under mapender more frequently than under admin, but I will get them either way.
Thanks again for helping me get this off the ground!
