I don't think that the charts for last week have been posted on Billboard.com yet, but according to this article from MTV, HOTTN debuted at #29 with approximately 14,000 album sales. Not great, but not terrible either. Of course, this doesn't count album downloads on iTunes. www.mtv.com/news/articles/1668787/adele-21-charts-number-one-12th-time.jhtmlI don't know when Greyson will be on Ellen (which debuts on September 12th), but that will probably give him a nice sales bump after that appearance.

I checked iTunes during the day of the 2nd and for a good chunk of the afternoon the album ranked #8 for All categorys and then back to #10.
It also ranked #2 in Pop for a few days, not sure where it is now though.

I saw Hold On 'Til the Night coming in at #22 with sales of 16,185 on two different websites. You can track the daily iTunes sales using the following link. It also has links for French and Canadian iTunes numbers. www.itunescharts.net/us/artists/music/greyson-chance/albums/hold-on-til-the-night/Waiting Outside the Lines is still listed at number 6 by Nielsen SoundScan after 34 weeks. While HOTTN may not occupy a position near the top of charts (or even chart at all), it will certainly be a steady seller for Greyson as his fan base increases. I can't help but wonder if Greyson's management missed an opportunity by not putting Purple Sky on the CD. Billy Gilman's One Voice CD went platinum in 3 months and double platinum within the year; it came out when everyone was concerned about school shootings/violence. Now with the focus on bullying and teen suicide . . . I think it might be my favorite new song by Greyson -- uplifting and sad at the same time. I guess I'll be disappointed not to see more done with it.

Purple Sky is definetly my favorite out of Greyson's new releases, I wonder if Running Away will change my mind?

I just noticed that Hold on 'Til the Night is still on the iTunes Store homepage scrolling advertisement box, I'm sure that is helping with sales
