This is a very cute Greyson Chance Interview from Portland Oregon. Much better than his, for lack of a better phrase, "standard" interviews. Watching Greyson get flustered lets you see his gentleness, his humbleness ( is that a word?), and his "kid" qualities. After the interview, he performs Empire State of Mind (Do I detect a little voice change going on in the middle?) He also goofs around on the keyboard at the end. Such a polite, cute, kind, humble boy. Not a self centered, jaded "Superstar". I hope he keeps these qualities as he grows up. What do you guys think?

A good interviewer will ever so gently try to get behind the facade of the artist and pose questions which she has to think about. It's a rare opportunity for the artist to reveal her true self as against her showbiz persona. What is revealed is the TRUTH, which may be good or bad. e.g. Justin Bieber doesn't come across in interview nearly as well as Greyson does. This, my personal favourite of all Greyson's interviews, shows him at his magnificent best. www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6W1UFPaXz8

You're right it is cute. I was actually thinking about press interviews the other day while watching Letterman. I don't understand why everybody who does theses interviews feels compelled to ask the same questions. I know the artist/actor/writer always has talking points they need to get out during the appearance, but certainly the interviewer (or their "people") could do some research and come up with at least one insightful question that the person hasn't been asked a million times already. I do always love it when a "real" fan is granted an interview b/c even if they aren't the best at interviewing, they at least tend to bring up new and different subjects. Though, with that you have the problem of falling into the trap where nobody can follow along if they aren't really well versed in that person's career. Random rant over... BTW that had nothing to do with the interviews posted. More just a general complaint that had crossed my mind.
