I miss Greyson’s old Facebook format. Yes, there was a lot of “garbage” posted on his wall by people, but now it’s not even worth checking out -- just some, not all, of his tweets. Greyson’s tweets aren’t that numerous and are often very cryptic.
I always learned a lot from the comments posted on his wall: links to show sites, fan comments on shows, info from radio stations about upcoming interviews, contests, etc. I also believe that being able to post comments allows fans to feel more “connected” to Greyson -- even if the site is maintained by a 3rd party.
Other sites I monitor that have switched to the new Timeline format still allow people to post comments, but apparently not Greyson’s. Just another example of not making good use of social media.

retiredone, I agree. Last year I remeber looking at a video of greyson rught after I saw him for the first time in concert. The user happed to comment on the video that day saying that he would be coming to a city not too far from the venue where he was last in my area. Right after that I went to Greyson's FB wall and fans were saying that he would be doing a webcast with Cody Simpson (Who I had no idea about at the time) in about an hour with a big announcement.. Fans were also posting links from Live Nation and Ticketmaster of links to upcmoming shows with Cody. Then I knew that there was going to be another tour. The next day when the dates were announced it was announced they were going to be in that same city that the YT user said. What really bothered me on his FB page was that a lot of fans tagged themselves in his photos that did'nt have them in it. Like there was that one of him and Cloris Leachman on the "Raising Hope" set and fans were tagging themselves. The random comments did'nt bother me as much. I do'nt like the new Timeline. It's really confusing. Most of my freinds have it.

In general, I don't like the new Timeline feature as well. I was a freshmen in college the year FB started and have seen it go through every major change thus far. The timeline hasn't been as controversial as the newsfeed, but I haven't heard anybody say that they actually like it.
I switched the TTN FB page (which we are barely using at the moment) to Timeline and it seems that people can still post comments on there (http://www.facebook.com/TilTheNight). I don't look at Greyson's FB page much, but interesting observation. Maybe they just want all of the things that they are promoting to remain at the top?
In general, they do seem to update things on FB before they update them on the official site, but that isn't always true either.
