I know that nobody else cares, but that is one of the many joys of a discussion forum... I can post this stuff and hope somebody reads it. I figure my fangirl reactions to Springsteen are funny to you all, but what's the point of living without passions?!
So, here is my PSA (Public Service Announcement):
Bruce Springsteen is gearing up for another tour and everybody who likes rock music needs to go see him. I know he can't sing, he can't play the guitar, his arrangements are cheesy and pedestrian, the new single kind of sucks, he is REALLY old, etc. None of that is important though. The man was born to be on a stage and he really doesn't get the credit from the general public that he deserves. Nobody has as much stage presence and can hold an audience in the palm of his hand like Bruce can. When I say NOBODY, I mean not Elton John, Roger Daltry, Paul McCartney, Bono or even Mick Jagger. I've seen them all and none of them can hold a candle to Bruce as a live performer. He really is that good.
That is all. Go see him. He is 62 years old and you never know if you'll get the chance again. Taylor Swift is a fan, Lady Gaga loves him, Chris Martin from Coldplay practically worships him, the Zach kid from All Star Weekend does worship him, so if their opinions mean more to you than mine, take it from them!
Don't worry... there will be more dates in the fall after the tour returns from Europe
