Ah, Tom Andrews, YES! He's got some great tracks up on YouTube. So "Carry Me On"'s going to be his first single? Excellent news. Must say I'm not too keen on his latest hair style/colouration, but that's kids for you (I'm rather dismayed as I get older to find out I'm turning into my father!) - I'll just close my eyes and listen to the music.. It sounds like he has rerecorded the song so it might be slightly different, but yeah it is going to be released on iTunes the day he plays it on Ellen - supposedly.

[Mapender, OMG I was just going to write about him. Here's his finale performance. below. I hope he wins today. If he does not he will go far. I've been watching BGT since 2007. Every year it's a dancer or dance troop. I hope this year it's a singer. Even though I like a 11 year old ballet dancer this year that's also in the finale. I also really like Edward Reid. He's the one that turns kiddie songs into pop songs. EDIT:Roann came in second. My mom said she thinks Ronan will be like Susan Boyle and Jackie Evanko (Creepy) selling millons of albums. I hope she's right. Jai McDonall won. Jai is a very good singer. www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7U59h9FeiU&feature=shareRonan

Wow, I just looked up Jai McDowall. He is awesome. I didn't actually watch the show, but he seems 10x more talented than we seem to get on most of the U.S. competition shows. Actually, it seems that Britain's Got Talent seems to be the show that has the most performances that give me chills.
On another note, did you see this one? It cracked me up.

Mapender, Besides Ronan Edward was my favorite did you see him singing the Teletubbies theme song on the semi finals? That was really funy.
I agree. Britan's got Talent is a lot better than American Idol and AGT. Lots of better acts.

These days good singers seem to be ten-a-penny.
I'd always vote for someone who could make me laugh like Edward Reid.

I recorded this live jam locally of a 14 yo kid named Daniel Heitz that blew everyone away. Of course the style of music is quite different from Greyson being of more the blues and boogie genre. Still the kid is 14 and although most fans of Greyson will most likely not like the music, he is talented IMHO
This "jam" was totally unrehearsed (except for perhaps Daniel and is dad Dan). The drummer was in 38 Special. Just shows how a generation gap is really a bridge when it comes to stuff like this!

To reanimate an old thread, I believe it was Ronan Parke's 13th birthday this weekend, and this is what he's been doing recently - there was another copy on YouTube which was rapidly going viral before it was pulled (at least for those of us in the UK): Obviously the way for a new singer to get noticed is to cover a Lady Gaga song - first Greyson, then Maria Aragon, now Ronan... and this was him a few weeks ago, performing in front of 45,000 people on the beach at Weston-super-Mare. (hope the code works, and the videos don't get pulled quickly). *Edit - Fixed code -djtiny --- ah, I see how it's done! Thanks djt!

Thanks for posting that, arwelp. I was going to post it the other day, but when I went back to it the video had been pulled.
After seeing Ronan's performances on BGT, there was no doubt that he could sing very well, but I wasn't sure if he possessed that X factor to be a big star. Those videos make me think that maybe he really does.
