This letter is for Greyson, but hopefully, my fellow fanfriends can use this information too. And if any of you have some good ideas or suggestions on this topic, please add them to the conversation so we can all learn something from each other
Dear Greyson,
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a tabloid scandal rag.
When I first saw the interview below, I commented on how cute it was (from an adult perspective) to see you get flustered. But I was wrong to say that. People DON’T have the right to press you with intrusive questions that you would rather not answer. Only your parents have the right to do that because they are trying to raise you right and help you grow into the kind of person God wants you to be.
(For some reason the vid won't post. Maybe DJtiny can fix this. Here is the link: (Edit- Fixed You need to take the URL from the actual video page, channel URLs won't work. -djtiny)

The more I thought about the interview, the more irritated I became with the intrusions of the media into the private lives of public figures. Contrary to popular belief, the public DOES NOT have the “Right to know” the private details of your life (and I guess in this case the lady did eventually back off).
But Greyson, just because you are a star does not mean that you have to sacrifice your right to privacy.
And, star or not, just because someone asks you an intrusive question does not mean that you have to answer it.
I’ll give you some suggestions on how to answer intrusive questions, but I hope you will talk this over with your parents and your management to come up with some humorous responses that fit your unique situation and personality.
My first response to an annoying and intrusive question would be to stare incredulously at the person and ask them, “Why in the world would you ask me a question like that?” They are usually too shocked to ask me anything else.
But I realize that you have to be polite. So you can deflect the question using your charm and wit.
For example, in the same charming voice you use when you tell fans, “I’m sorry but I can’t kiss anybody”, you can charm the press by saying something like, “I’m sorry, but I can’t answer questions that are too personal.” If they press you again you can just keep repeating, “I’m sorry, but I can’t answer questions that are too personal.” Pretty soon they will move on to something else and they won’t use a boring clip of you repeating the same thing over and over.
If you do this with your good-natured smile they should back off and not try to intimidate a kid.
And when they ask you the inevitable “Have you got a girlfriend?” question, you could say, “Yeah, last time I checked my Facebook page I had about 60,000.” Then, when they press you and ask “Do you have anyone special?” you can respond, “I can’t talk about that because then people get death threats and stuff.”
As a last resort you can always take the Fifth Amendment.
Greyson, don’t get flustered. And don’t let them get to you. Just use your charm and humor to win them over.
We all like you as you are and nobody has the right to be rude to you and treat you like a commodity. Just use the good-natured charm and humor that comes naturally to you and everything will be all right.
