I've been waiting around for weeks for this! One of the biggest music festivals in the world starts today and once again they will be streaming a bunch of sets on YouTube for free! This is an awesome way to check out bands that you don't know anything about. Discovering new artists is always a lot of fun. The ones in bold are just my favorites. www.vevo.com/bonnarooHere is the schedule: All time Central, not Eastern!!Friday, June 10: 12:00pm - 1:00pm: The Drums 1:00pm - 2:00pm: School of Seven Bells 2:00pm -3:15pm : Bela Fleck and the Flecktones 3:15pm - 4:30pm : Grace Potter & the Nocturnals4:30pm -5:00pm: Walkmen 5:00pm -5:45pm: Best Coast 5:45pm -6:45pm: J. Edited to correct all times to central time. I knew it was wrong, but that is how they had it posted on the official site yesterday (with them all eastern time).
I am sure that I am the only one who cares, but so many great acts and the stream is excellent quality!

Here is Grace Potter rocking out at Bonnaroo. I love that woman's voice. I know nobody has anything better to do on a Saturday night, so you have to tune in to see Mumford and Sons and especially Arcade Fire. Mumford and Sons if THE in band at the moment. You aren't cool if you don't own a copy of Sign No More. I wouldn't say that they have a unique sound overall, but for a band that is having a lot of mainstream success they do. Here is their first single "Little Lion Man": Rather than being the band of the moment, Arcade Fire is quite possible the band of the past DECADE. The epitome of indie rock, they are an amazing live band that was able to sell out two nights at Madison Square Garden earlier this year w/o ever having any radio airplay. They also happened to win Album of the Year this year. Here is their most famous song (though not my favorite) "Wake Up": And no, it isn't time to call the head doctors in on me. I fully realize that I am having a conversation with myself

Just watched 7 straight hours of Bonnaroo sets (yes, I am suppose to be studying for a very big test, but oh well). Verdict: I really don't like rap. Even rap that I know and should like, I am just not a fan. Mumford & Sons was incredible. There isn't much to their show other than them standing there and playing their songs, but they played a bunch of new stuff that hasn't been released yet and even that stuff went over really well with the huge crowd. Arcade Fire was average at best. Sound sucked, mix sucked, mics didn't work at the beginning. Rather disappointing way to end the evening. And... that is the end of me conversing with myself
