Okay, I rarely go "negative", but things like this really aggravate me (trying really hard to use clean language here). Some thoughtless clown has posted (I won't even say where) what they claim is Greyson's HOME phone number. I won't re-print it here.
If it's real (and I hope it is NOT), what an incredibly thoughtless invasion of privacy this is. Are they not smart enough to see that the Chance's will have no choice but to change the number when they start getting hundreds of calls from fans wanting to say "Hi", from sales people, media & others trying to make a buck off the family, and worse still, from all the crazies, stalkers, haters, & bashers out there.
Changing a phone number means having to remember to notify everybody that has a legitimate need for the number. It is not a simple process.
If the number is a fake, then it is a cruel joke on Greyson's younger fans. I pray that none of Greyson's young fans get harmed or scammed by some nutcase.
Greyson needs a spare $40.00 "Throwaway" phone from Wal-Mart to make outgoing calls on so when people back trace the number, it rings to a phone that he doesn't have to answer.
I wish these jerks would be more considerate.
I posted this response:
On your Channel Page you claim to believe in God. If that is true then why would you post this number. It is either an incredible invasion of the Chance family's privacy (which will create problems when they have to change the number to avoid all the crazies out there), or it is a scam of some sort that would be cruel to his younger fans. Please think about what I have said and take down this video. God Bless You. I'm sure you probably didn't mean any harm. But think about it. Okay?
Then I clicked on "Report This Video" for "Invasion Of Privacy". I hope all our members will go online and do the same.

I haven't seen this, but I know what you mean. I feel like I can be a little obsessed when it comes to things that I am really into, but at the same time I don't think I have ever crossed the line as far as invading a musicians/athletets, etc. personal life. Some people just don't know where to draw the line unfortunately. On that note, all you U.S. people on here need to go to www.spokeo.com and search for your name on there. That website has used all kinds of public records to compile all types of information about a person into a public database including name, phone number, family structure, value of your house, etc. It is relatively easy to get your name removed, but even my home address and number were listed on there and my mom has always kept such things unlisted. If you know the legal name of a celebrity and vaguely where they live, it isn't very hard to find a lot of them on there as well.

Yes, cell phones and phone numbers in gneral are alwyas a huge thing with the famous. I can't imagen having to be so secret with my phone :/. However as for most land lines, unless you opt-out of it, it's a public record. And now-adays with websites such as www.phonebook.com it compiles the phone numbers and addresses taken from phone books around the country in an online database. Not to mention even more information, even personal information. I hope for the Chance's sake that the number was a fake and they don't need to go through the hassle of changing, especially now in their downtime.

On a side note, I appealed to the poster in a nice way to think about what they were doing and I was told to STFU. Felt like turning Duckbiter loose on her. ;D

Looks like I'm becoming the Forum's resident Pit Bull. Ducks don't really bite cos they have no teeth (I have two beautiful Pekin Ducks). But they can swear and cuss (in quacks) almost as well as geese.
To mangle a metaphor - THE QUACK IS MIGHTIER THAN THE BITE!

For the benefit of newbies, I'll explain. We try to keep things fun & positive around here, especially since the younger fans are watching. This is my personal policy for my youtube comments as well. There are certain words that I will only use in my car while driving in traffic. Duckbiter is under no such personal restrictions, and when provoked, can give new meaning to the term "FOWL" Language! A dubious talent that is nonetheless necessary at times (especially if someone unfairly attacks a certain very talented13 year old kid). Thanks for your contributions to the forum.

Hey! Acquiring dubious talents - the story of my life, well spotted! This thread could easily become entangled with the one discussing American vs English humour.
You G4G are no mean wit. "FOWL LANGUAGE" indeed. Who said "Pun is the Lowest Form of Wit"? He/she was wrong!
And I'm not KITTEN!

You guys crack me up.
I am glad that duckbiter has kept his comments on here a bit more PG, but I can't deny that I applaud some of the things he replies with on YouTube.

When I saw Greyson when he was with Cody fans were pushing to the frontof the room. The guards said "Push back' but they did not listen. Cody even made a speech to them. That's one reason w2hy I did not meet either one of them.

If the guard said "push back", then He/she was not doing their job. Crowd control is an important part of their responsibility. If things break down into pushing back & forth, people end up in the hospital. Besides, simple physics dictates that one person pushing in one direction is not going to stop 200 people pushing in the opposite direction.

grownups4greyson, I agree. The venue I went to was for college kids to drink beer and listen to local bands. The place holds 200 people. The guards never saw any place like that before.

Ducks can't bite, but I have been nipped by one before. Being a duckophile, I can only assume that you deserved it! Not so! Many years ago I was visiting the local "Duck Pond" to share a loaf of bread with the local flyboys. Things were going quite well, until I was suddenly set upon by an unruly group of Mallards who attempted to unfairly hog all the crumbs from a little gosling. When I attempted to intervene, I was summarily "nipped" on the hand by the brute of the brood. Fortunatly, I was rescued by an angry Mother Goose who, in an effort to protect her baby gossling from this brutish Mallard, chased the offending Fowl back into the lake as his thuggish friends all scattered. It is from this example that I learned never to tolerate a bully. Since I am posting this story on the internet, we know that it MUST be true, and will probably end up causing problems later when The National Enquirer prints the headline "Greyson Fan Frightens Foul Fowl". OK, I'll stop now. Don't encourage me. It only gets worse. P.S. Thanks to your efforts, the offending video that started this thread is now GONE! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Mission Accomplished . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
One post did the trick.
She replied -
"@duckbiter um ok? so i got it off the internetr soo not my fault"
Sweet child, sob. Sometimes I hate my work.
Seems to me extraordinarily easy for us to anthropomorphise birdlife and create sentimental instructional tales with a happy ending and a virtuous morality. Your tale is a good example. But remember, NATURE IS RED IN TOOTH AND CLAW.
I certainly shall not encourage you. Can it really get any worse? Just yes or no, DON'T show me plz.
