Hey, guys! Okaaaaay, so this is my first fan fiction. And I hope I'd get feedbacks from you. But if not, well, I have no choice but to delete this. And no, I don't owm Greyson, I just own Joey.
Chapter 1 - Joey
I drink my Starbuks while Michael Buble's Haven't Met You Yet was blasting in my earphones. The song ends as I make my way to Centrral Park. I would really love to ride the carriages, but I can't. I just brought money enough to buy Starbucks and my fare on the way home. I sit down on a bench while finishing my Starbucks.
After throwing my coffee in the trash bin, I sit back down and think about what has happened to me.
Wow. I just got my heartbroken. And I'm just thirteen. Yes, thirteen, you think I'm too young to get my heartbroken? There are even ten-year-olds crying because their boyfriends cheated on them. But, this is life, no matter how old we are, we all get our hearts broken.
Anyway, my heart was technically broken. Oh, how shall I put it? Half-broken? Well, fine, half-broken it is. My heart was half-broken. Why? Well, here's the story: There's a guy in our school and he told me he loved me. And I, being the foolish girl I am, fell instanly in love with him. But no, we weren't going out , but I thought we would somehow click, you know? But I guess we didn't, and we will never will. It turned out that he has a girlfriend and was playing me all this time. I felt like a fool and from then on, I promised my self I will never ever fall foolishly in love again.
After thinking about random things, I am now hungry. It's been only twenty minutes! Yes, I easily get hungry. I don't know why.
I rummage some money in my pocket. Seeing I have enough money for a hotdog, I went to the man selling them and I buy one hotdog and he gives me one too, since he was in a very good mood. After munching down my juicy hotdogs, I rummage again in my pocket for my fare. But I don't so I decide to walk home. Since I'm used to this, I don't really panic. Pretty normal, I guess. As I pass Starbucks, my phone vibrates. I fish out my phone from my pocket. 15 new messages it read. I laugh silently to myself. I didn't feel the vibration a while ago because of my thoughts flowing in my mind and my hunger. I open my inbox to see who sent me a message. So, I receive 6 messages from my best friend, Justin. No, not Justin Bieber. Just my normal, slightly-insane 15-year-old best friend, Justin King.
Hey, Jo. wanna hang out? (:
Jo, where you at?
Kangarooooo? (:
You busy?
Who you with?
Please text back
I smile. Typical Justin. I quickly reply to him. Hey, Justyyyy. Sorry for not texting you back lol. I'm going home. (: Come to my house bro!
The other nine messages are from my other friends, asking me to hang out with them. I shrug and slip my phone back to my pocket.
As I pass by the boutiques, I admire the cute outfits, hats, shoes. I make a mental note to shop here next week with Justin. Passing by the cafe my aunt owns, the employees smile at me, and I smile back and wave at them. I hang there after school, sometimes I ask help from them with my homework.
Finally, I am now home. I push open the door when my phone starts to vibrate again. After closing the door, my mom comes down the stairs. "Hey, Jo, darling, how was your walk?" she says while kissing the top of my head. "It was fine, mom." I reply, smiling. I go upstairs, to my room, and I check my phone. It's a text from Justin.
On my way Kangaroo (:
I smile. Kangaroo. That's what he has called me ever since we were friends. I'm not the best jumper or anything, but when we first talked, the first word he said was, "Kangaroo." So, I was stuck with that name. And it doesn't annoy me or anything, I'm okay with it. I go downstairs to the kitchen to grab some cookies from the jar, yes, I am hungry again.
The doorbell rings so I go to the door to open it. And sure enough, it's Justin. "Hey, Kangaroo!" he says, ruffling my hair.
"Hey Mr. and Mrs. D!" he says to my parents.
"Hi, Justin!" Mom says with enthusiasm.
"Hello, Justin!" Dad says, smiling. Clearly both of them are fond of him. My family and his family are close friends, and that's why we're best friends. "Come on, upstairs, Justy." I say, coming up the stairs. He smiles and follows me.
"So, where have you been, Kangaroo?" He says, closing the door. "I just went for a walk, that's all." I reply, flipping through a magazine. He shrugs and sits beside me. "What magazine is that?" he asks.
"I don't know, it's about some guy called Greyson Chance."
"Greyson Chance? That's the guy my sister's been obsessing with. She even asked dad for some tickets for his concert." He says, rolling his eyes.
"He has a concert here?"
"Yeah, he does. What, you want to go?"
"Me? Psssh, no."
Yeah, I don't want to go to some Greyson Chance concert. But I think he's cute. With the smile and the hair and all.
Sooooo, what do you think, guys? Is it good? Okay, so it's boring, but I will try my best in the next chapter. Review please! (:
