Hey everyone,
I just saw Titanic last night, well, I have already seen it before but it was great to see it in theatres. Titanic as many of you may know has won many awards for its sound track, with the lead song My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion taking it all the way. I really like that song, as I do all of Celine Dion's songs, her voice is just amazing. I was looking up different versions of the song, and found this-
Probably all of you have heard of Charice from the version of Waiting Outside The Lines featuring her. Personally I don't like that version with her, but I never knew how amazing she was live. There is a video of her doing a duet with Celine Dion and she almost out-does Celine-
Anyone else seen/going to see the remake of Titanic?

Saw it--I don't think it's a remake though. I think it's just slightly altered to be more of an HD picture. It was the first time I've seen Titanic all the way through--my thing is the dudes see the iceberg, hit it, and I hightail it out of there and come back when the boat actually sinks. And so...I sobbed. Heaving, terrible sobs. Charice...I don't really like that version of WOTL either, my sister and I constantly mock it when it comes on shuffle.

You're right it's not an actually remake sorry, it's more of a restoration. The video resolution was digitally remastered as well as the addition of 3D. Although I would much rather of seen it without the 3D. It just never looks right unless it is shown in an IMAX theater.

My parents gave me Titanic for my 12th birthday. We made it up to when the water rushed into the engine room and the my sister and I couldn't take it anymore. We finished it a year later. It's a really beautiful movie, I recommend it, but I don't think I'll be able to watch it in 3D

3D wasn't really noticeable, I'll admit.

I saw something, somewhere, on TV while I was half asleep where they were talking about how historically accurate they wanted everything to be, right down to the china patterns. Then Stephen Hawking, or some astronomer, contacted the director about how the night sky was all wrong based on the actual global position of the ship when it sank. Nothing was done until now and they went back in and corrected all the stars and constellations to accurately reflect what the passengers would have seen that night. And I thought I was OC.

I kept hearing the teasers on the news about something that James Cameron went back and fixed about the movie, but I never did actually hear what it was. That certainly qualifies as attentive to detail! This movie was all the rage with all the girls when I was in 6th grade. I know people who went to see it like 11 times. People were nuts over it. We sang "My Heart Will Go On" for our elementary school graduation song. Oh, memories... lol.

I found a video from the Halifax, NS, concert called "Titanic Night of the Bells", in memorial of the 100 year anniversary of the Titanic disaster... Our young friend Andrew Machum sang the big song "My Heart Will Go On" and did a great job on a cold, windy night In the big city of Halifax last saturday night... Here's the video of Andrew's performance.
